x402ledger is built by the team behind CFO International LLC, a Florida-registered CPA firm based in Miami serving clients across the US and worldwide — tax preparation and planning, IRS resolution, outsourced accounting, fractional CFO work, US market entry for international founders, and e-commerce seller accounting. The practice is led by John Rykoff, CPA.
That lineage is the point. We combine the rigor of a CPA firm with the instincts of people who build and run companies. When your close package is designed to support audit and tax-preparation procedures, it helps when the people designing it prepare returns and answer to auditors for a living.
The agent economy has a revenue problem nobody invoices for.
Revenue became a stream
x402 turned HTTP’s status 402 into a working payment path: agents paying per call, in USDC, by the second. Thousands of micro-settlements a day is a wonderful business and a terrible month-end.
Tooling stopped at the explorer
Block explorers show transfers. They do not show whose entity a wallet is, which policy classified a receipt, or what an auditor can rely on. That gap between “visible on-chain” and “supportable in books” is where we live.
Trust needs a neutral party
The record-keeper cannot also be the money-mover. So we drew the line in permanent ink: no custody, no keys, no settlement — the charter is the product.
